Quincy Jones’ Sweet Last Message to Daughters Hours Before Dying as Celebrity Tribute
The jazz musician and record producer, who helped launch Michael Jackson’s solo career in the 1980s, died at his home on Sunday night surrounded by family.
Quincy Jonesone of the most famous and influential names in the music industry, has died. A jazz musician and music producer who works under various names such as Michael JacksonFrank Sinatra and Will Smith, were 91 years old.
Hours before he died Sunday night, surrounded by family at his Bel-Air home, according to TMZHis last Instagram post was a sweet message to his daughter Martina on her birthday.
“Happy birthday to Tina Beena @martinafotos1!!,” Jones wrote in what would be her final social media post. “I’m proud to be a papa! Big cock, I love you forever.”
She was one of Jones’ seven children: Jolie, 69, Rachel, 59, Martina, 58, Quincy III, 55, Kidada, 50, Rashida, 48, and Kenya, 31.

In a statement released to TMZ after his death, his family said, “Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of the passing of our father and brother Quincy Jones. And while this is an incredible loss for our family, celebrate the great life he lived and know there will never be another like him.”
The family requested privacy and requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family Jazz Foundation of America.
βHe is truly one of a kind and we will miss him greatly; we are comforted and very proud to know that love and joy, which were the basis of his personality, have been shared with the world through all that he has created,β the statement continued. “Through his music and his boundless love, Quincy Jones’ heart will beat forever.”
In addition to being a music producer best known for helping to shape Jackson’s solo career through his albums From the Wall, A cheerleaderand It’s badalong with producing “We Are the World,” Jones was considered one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century.

After his death, tributes began pouring in for the music industry legend who took home 28 Grammys during his 70-year career.
Michael Caine, who stars in Jones’ play Italian workhe called his composer his “heavenly twin,” referring to the fact that they shared the same birthday, March 14, 1933.
“My Heavenly Twin Quincy was a star in the music world,” Caine wrote. X/Twitter. “He was a wonderful and special person, lucky to have known him.”
With a tribute sent home InstagramLL Cool J called Jones “a father and role model at a time when I really needed a father and role model. Mentor. Great role model. Lord. π You gave me opportunities and shared wisdom. Music could not be ‘ music without you.”

DJ and fellow producer David Guetta called Jones “not just a legend, he was a hustler, a trailblazer and a true genius,” Colman Domingo recalled. X/Twitter meet Jones as he films 2023 The color is Purple remake, for which Jones was a producer. “I was so happy to meet Mr. American Music himself. I literally fell on my knees because he was the King.”
